They install water pipes, boilers, washbasins, toilet seats, taps and sewer pipes as well as heat pipes, heat generation equipment, air conditioning equipment, building services insulation, pipework and equipment for refrigeration facilities, roof and facade sheet metal in buildings, etc. Work is also available in property maintenance and in municipal water, sewerage and energy plants.
Qualifications
Pipe fitter
Pipe fitters know how to use the basic tools and correct working methods of the field, select the brackets and other materials to be used according to the site, and carry out normal piping installations. They are able to work in a quality-conscious, proactive, customer-oriented and cooperation-oriented manner.
Ventilation mechanic
Ventilation mechanics know how to complete ductwork and equipment installations related to ventilation systems in new buildings in accordance with the drawings and work descriptions and to manufacture duct components related to ventilation systems. They know how to use the basic tools and correct working methods of the field and select the brackets and other materials to be used according to the site.
Construction sheet metal worker
The construction sheet metal worker is able to perform roof and facade cladding of buildings in accordance with the drawings and installation instructions, install sheet metal parts related to the construction, install felt, brick and profile elements in roofs and work on sheet metal for a seam roof. They know how to use the basic tools and correct working methods of the field and select the materials to be used according to the site.
Technical insulation mechanic
Technical insulation mechanics know how to perform insulation work related to HPAC technical equipment and piping. They install insulation and coatings related to heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems, use the basic tools and correct working methods of the field, and select the materials to be used according to the site.
Refrigeration mechanic
Refrigeration technicians know how to complete the equipment and piping installations of a refrigeration facility in accordance with the drawings and work description, use the basic tools and correct working methods of the field, and select the insulation and other materials to be used according to the site.
